BWD Today

Here at Barnes Woodworking Depot “BWD” we strive to bring quality architectural millwork to all of our customers, whether that’s our commercial clients or residential DIYer. What is architectural millwork you ask? To put it in simple terms, it’s anything made of wood that can be viewed when a building is complete. This includes interior and exterior, built-in and freestanding.

One area we excel in the most are the trim packages we can provide to our customers. With almost 40 years worth of profiles for baseboard, casing, crown, chair railing and more, you can get custom woodwork that will be admired for generations to come. If we don’t have the profile you are looking for, we can make it.

Now don’t let the word “custom” scare you away. It just means you can get exactly what you want instead of settling for a stock option at a big box store. You won’t have to worry about a “custom” price either. We are highly competitive in pricing with our trim packages even against those stock options.

No job is too big or too small for us to tackle. We can also help install any of our work if you aren’t already working with a contractor or you got in a little over your head with your DIY project.

We strive to bring quality architectural millwork to all of our customers

The History

BWD Woodworking first opened its doors in 1980 by Bill, Woody and Derek Seyfang. Over the years they accumulated high production equipment to produce quality architectural millwork for their customers.  Customers included a wide variety of commercial and residential business all over the state of Ohio and the Eastern United States. Three generations of the Seyfang family owned and operated the business until the tough decision was made to sell in 2018.

In 2019, the business was sold to Perry Barnes. Perry is fairly local to the area as he grew up in Pickaway county. He also owns a construction business but has dreamed of owning a woodshop since he was young and is excited to take on this opportunity. To honor the dedication the Seyfang family put into the business for almost 40 years, he wanted to keep the BWD name but instead of standing for the original owner’s names, the business now goes by Barnes Woodworking Depot.
